How do we make our Kombucha?

The first step is to carefully choose the best organic ingredients. We obtain our black tea from the mountains of Rwanda and our green tea from the chinese region of Sichuan.

Next step is to steep the tea in hot water for 10 minutes and let it cool. When it's warm we add organic cane sugar and SCOBY, and the fermentation process begins. When it is fully fermented, we add organic fruits and it's ready to fill the cans.

What is Kombucha?

Kombucha is an ancient beverage made with tea and sugar, fermented by a combination of bacteria and yeasts called SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeasts). This fills the drink with beneficial properties for our health and also gives it a slightly acidic, wonderful soft taste, making kombucha the perfect refreshing drink.

Health and Kombucha

It's been cherished in Asia for centuries due to its healthy properties, helping with digestion and balancing our microbiota. Kombucha has several organic acids such as lactic or acetic acid. These substances help promote a good environment for our microbiota. It also has glucuronic acid, that helps detox the liver. Kombucha is very rich in antioxidants, fighting against oxidative stress and strengthening the immune system. Regular kombucha consumption improves our energy levels and cardiovascular health.

Sustainability

Taking care of our bodies is as important as taking care of the planet. That is why we decided to make our kombucha with organic ingredients that respect the land they come from and are healthier. Our black tea comes from sustainable farming practices, certified by Rainforest Alliance, an organization that protects the forestal communities. We also sell our products in alluminum cans for more sustainability, because it is an infinitely reciclable material, has less carbon print than glass and even protects our product from the light.
